Fibre Optic Star Lighting

Fiber Optics can be divided into two distinct sub-sections: Home/commercial lighting for general purpose lighting and decorative lighting.

Fiber Optic lighting uses a bright white LED source transmitting via an acrylic cable to a fixture or point of light, making it safer to use in the home and in a business. Fibre optic lighting lasts far longer than traditional lighting fixtures and is much more flexible. It uses less energy than most other light sources, making it a greener alternative. Because Fiber Optic lighting does not get hot like most other light sources, it is great for all applications including commercial freezers or museums, avoiding damage and fading to goods.

Fibre optics can also be used in a huge range of other innovative lighting applications, both indoors and out.

Our fibre optic lighting can be used to dramatic effect in the bathroom or kitchen. You can install fibre optic lighting in a splashback next to a bath or even inside a shower enclosure.

Fibre optics also have great potential outdoors, whether in a domestic garden or in municipal and commercial landscaping applications.

In the world of entertainment we’ve supplied fibre optic components to theatres, theme parks and the special effects departments of TV and movie productions. A great advantage of fibre optic lighting is that the fibres and/or end fittings can be permanently sealed in place, without having to worry about access to change bulbs.

The popularity of fibre optics among designers include the color changing ability of fibre through the use of colour filters and special effects that can be produced through the use of colour wheels, synchronous controllers and DMX systems.This lighting works well outside or in wet/damp places, without the dangers of shock hazards.
